"I
really do enjoy the Support Letter. I recommended it to
my nutritionist because I think so much of the information
and tips are extremely helpful and I hope that she will
be able to pass on some of your compassion and information
to others with eating disorders (she works at the Renfrew
Center in CT).
My
favorite parts of the newsletter are the tips sections (how
to survive the holidays), the inspirational quotes, the
thoughts by celebrities (because for me the media plays
a large part of my body image issues & anorexia), and the
personal story. I think the whole newsletter is extremely
well put together - the history information is pretty cool
to read about and putting a different personal story in
each newsletter is inspiring.
I
just wanted to say that I am grateful for all your hard
work in putting this newsletter together. It gives me the
extra hope to continue to heal."
- Elissa, 25,
struggled with anorexia, depression, and anxiety for about
12 years.

"The
You Are Not Alone Support letter, and Andrea...the one behind
it all are truly a blessing that has come into my life.
She has put so much into this work which doesn't stop at
that. Her generosity, knowledge and personal support and
encouragement has helped me through tough times since I
found this site. I can personally attest to the fact that
she does care and wants all of US to recover and will lend
a hand, advice and a shoulder when times are tough. Thank
you Andrea for all your time, effort, knowledge and support
you continue to give to touch others. You have truly touched
and helped me during my recovery."
- Emily B. from Knoxville TN, has battled anorexia for 9
years.

"Andrea,
unfortunetly you know as well as I do that the web is full
of triggering sites now days. However, your creation is
a beautiful and positive step forward for everyone. Whatever
the illness, whatever the mind set, there is always something
for someone in your magazine and website. When you are in
hospital, one of the main thing taken away is the internet.
However, I think that if people had the chance to read your
site while there, there would be changes...big changes!
You are helping me go forward, You are helping many people
go forward...and I know that one day I'll look forward on
this and will deeply have to thank you more so then now!"
- Kara (Living her 6th year with her
ed, using your help, making it my last....hopefully.)

"I
have been active in the online pro-recovery community for
years, and have been part of many e-newsletters. The "You
Are Not Alone" Support Newsletter is one of my favorite.
The contributors are you. They are me. They are everyone
- each of us who at one point have wondered "Yea, but does
that happen for someone like me?" They are many combined
voices - voices of the logic that people who suffer with
eating disorders never quite believe exists. It does. And
I know this because I was once one of those sufferers."

want to THANK you for taking the time, energy and love to
put together such a positive and healing newsletter. I have
been reading the first two newsletters and have been blessed
by them!"

"Thanks
for the great January edition, Andrea! I especially liked
the photo retouching segment (so surprising!) and really,
really like your piece on the possibility of full recovery.
When I first started recovery I looked and looked for someone
to say that...I'm glad you're putting it out there."

Ashley from the States.
